Decision review - Home economics group bargaining unit - Description of the bargaining unit - in a decision dated November 15, 1967, the Board certified the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPS) as bargaining agent for all employees of the employer in the home economics group - PIPS requested a review of that decision pursuant to section 27 of the Public Service Staff Relations Act for the purpose of amending the description of the bargaining unit by deleting the words "home economics" and substituting therefor "nutrition and dietetics" - employer indicated its concurrence with the request for review - accordingly, Board granted the request for review and amended its decision of November 15, 1967, as requested - an amended certificate will issue. Application allowed.

Decision Page 1 DECISION 1. In its decision of November 15, 1967, the Board certified the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada as bargaining agent for all employees of the employer in the home economics group in the scientific and professional category.

2. By letter of July 29, 1997, the bargaining agent, pursuant to section 27 of the Act, requested the Board to review its decision of November 15, 1967 and amend it by deleting from the description of the bargaining unit the words "Home Economics" and replacing it by the words "Nutrition and Dietetics".

3. The employer was provided with a copy of the request made by the bargaining agent and replied by letter of October 22, 1997 that it confirmed the change of name from Home Economics to Nutrition and Dietetics.

4. In the circumstances, the Board grants the request of the bargaining agent. The Board's decision of November 15, 1967 is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the words "Home Economics" in paragraph 14 and substituting the words "Nutrition and Dietetics".

5. The certificate issued on November 15, 1967 will be amended and a revised certificate will be issued accordingly.
